Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth twice the money I have been a professional tile setter and general contractor for over thirty year now and have to say that this mud mixer from Milwaukee is an innovation that actually makes working out in the field easier. The motor is plenty powerful for handling anything I have already thrown at it and believe me, I was not kind to it. I don't abuse my tools but they have to work, and I have to know that they will work consistently. This mixer does it in spades. All the guts and quality of a Milwaukee tool without the flare the pretty boys want. Dirty, gritty, and it works....exactly what I want from my Milwaukee collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have for any drywall or tile job!! This mud mixer is an absolute must have when you are doing a tile or drywall job. I have been moving away from any tool that is corded and this mud mixer works as well as a corded mixer that I have used for many years. I have mainly used this mixer for whipping up joint compound, but it also works great for mixing up thin set. Performance wise it is as good as a corded without the hassle of needing power. Great tools to have in your collection!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love to tool, but hate the homeowner bag I'm a contractor now for 48 years, and I've converted to almost all cordless tools. It is so nice not to have to find adequate receptacles, then roll out cords, hoses etc. This Mud Mixer really does the job, I love it. So for the tool, I give 5 stars. But for the homeowner bag, 0 stars. I know, your term is "contractor bag", but contractor and bag do not belong in the same description. A contractor wants to be able to store and stack their tools in an orderly manner, not just throw them in a pile as one is more or less forced to do if a tool is in a bag. Contractors need to be able to be productive, easily accessing their tools without having to dig through a disorganized pile. That's why I throw bags in the trash; they have no place in a contractors arsenal of tools and equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Something Other Than Mud Mixing!!! I am the Tool Manager for a large mechanical contractor in the Northeast and am always looking to make jobs easier for my guys in the field. We ran into an issue with drilling downward through metal decking to place Cast In Anchors. We have been using a standard 18V Drill but it was causing major fatigue after about 500 holes per day and heating up too much. We tried multiple tools to make it easier, safer and economical for everyone. Then I came across this Mud Mixer. Figured i would give it a shot and see what my guys thought about it. Paired it with a 9.0 Battery, 24" Extension and sent it out to a job drilling 600 holes in decking per day. They absolutely Loved it. The handle. The Variable Speed. The Steel Chuck. Everything. I immediately bought 10 more and we haven't looked back. This has become our new standard for drilling decking. I believe the name should be changed to Mud Mixer/Deck Drill. Photo Below of one of my guys loving it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mixer, Very Strong I use this mixer for tile mortar and grout. Its awesome! Tons of power and being cordless is great! Love the variable speed. I also just used it to mix 10 80lb bags of cement And 10 50lb bags of self leveling cement. Plenty of power even for that. 5.0ah battery lasts about 10 bags! No complaints with this mixer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Was skeptical but WOW- exceeded my expectations! I am a remodeler and I use this mixer for drywall mud and thin-set. About 10 months before I bought the M18 mixer, my old drill mixer died and I purchased a Rubimix 9n. The Rubimix is a great mixer and I loved the power and ergonomics of the round steering wheel type handle. (Especially when the tendinitis flares up in the elbows.) When the M18 mixer was released, I thought I’d get it as a secondary mixer just for the convenience of it being cordless but figured I’d still primarily use my corded mixer. I must admit- I have MANY other M18 tools and my collection keeps growing. I love the power of them and the fact that they all run on the same battery platform. So Milwaukee already had me convinced on the truth of the “Cut the Cord” slogan. But I was a bit skeptical that a battery mixer would suffice for heavy use in thin-set which has a lot of resistance. HOWEVER, I was wrong. I love this mixer! What I love: Cordless: Being able to mix ANYWHERE on a job site without running an extension cord is great! On repair jobs, I’ve even mixed up small batches of drywall mud quickly in the back of my box truck so I didn’t have to drag extra tools in the house. (And I used my M18 vac with the hose on the side of the bucket to suck up the dust so my truck stayed clean!) Also, one thing I didn’t think of until I got this- the ease of not having a cord to tangle or get in your way when you are working in a confined area- like a small bathroom- is fantastic! Ergonomics: the adjustable handle is comfortable to use and easy to move. The speed control is easy to adjust in use. And I like the key storage in the handle. It is easy to grab, easy to put back, and fits snugly so it stays put. I also like that I can set it down upside down on the battery pack if I want to. Storage: the adjustable handle and smaller size also makes it easier to store. I do a lot of different things and have a lot of tools to keep with me. So this is a big plus. It’s in my truck every day, ready to go! Power and run-time: Ok, so the big question- does it stand up to a corded mixer in power? Yes. The gear ratio and speed is different than my Rubimix, but it in NO way makes this inferior. I quickly got used to it and actually prefer it because I haven’t had any product slosh out due to too quick of a start up or losing my grip on the bucket. It does the job every bit as good as a corded. Mixes effectively and quickly. And the 9.0a battery lasts me all day no problem. The end result: It’s just fantastic. It does what it should do every day. In fact, since I bought the M-18 mixer, (about a year ago) I haven’t even plugged in my Rubimix one time. Not once. I haven’t needed or even WANTED to. The Rubimix is disassembled and sitting in a bucket in storage. Thanks Milwaukee for making yet another tool for me to “Cut the Cord” with! Warning: buying this mixer will add one more to-do to your list- and that’s selling your old corded mixer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best mud mixer to date! I used to use a rigid corded mud mixer, and after I bought the Milwaukee super hawg I never used it again. Later I bought this mud mixer and there is no comparison. There inst a jerking motion you get with the rigid tool and its way easier to use than the super hawg. No contest this is the tool to use. I believe the gearing is different. It is so smooth and easy to use. The adjustable handle is amazing!!! One of my favorite features is you can lock the trigger which is so much easier on your hands.
