Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beast of a hammer drill!! I recently upgraded to the newest model hammer drill and so far I am impressed with the overall performance and power of this hammer drill. I use this for all my drilling needs for holes up to 1/2” in all types of materials. It really preforms well drilling holes in concrete using carbide bits. Tiles, metal, PVC, concrete, stucco, wood, with the right bits this hammer drill eats it all up. The handle it comes with gives you really good control of the drill. Very happy with overall performance.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't consider this an upgrade from the 2703 drill We use a lot Milwaukee Fuel tools at our manufacturing facility. We bought several of these new drills to see how they perform against the one they are replacing (2703). We are disappointed, it seems Milwaukee backed down some on the Heavy Duty quality. When we are threading steel plates they run out of torques quicker. In a place where the 2703 would just dig in and keep on going, the 2803 just stops, it seems the electronic torque setting is too low.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I would not buy this model again Outdoor power equipment repair most holes drilled are 1/16 to 1/2 inch and it works fine for that . But I want to drill a hole with a step bit or a hole saw bit it keep stopping after a few seconds drilling . Works fine out of the box but after a few months of using it starts acting up . I have sent two different drills back several times and have asked for help to determine if I am buying the right model. Acts like the protection circuit is damaged and is stopping the unit to soon. Have enjoyed all my other Milwaukee products but not this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite 18v drill ever. I use it for metal and wood as well as drywall usage when I'm using a milwaukee hole saw. Great power and control. The ergonomics of fuel drivers feel the best in hand. I didn't think I would like the light at the bottom, but it hasn't been an issue yet. I use a 5.O battery on it and have no problems getting my tasks done. The cross hatch design in the metal was a deciding factor over the other versions since it has better grip when wearing gloves. I was a Makita user for almost 15 years, I've made the switch and now glad to be part of the Milwaukee family... 5 year warranty, the power and flexibility, the service and I love my packout systems too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm impressed! Instead of spending money on replacement batteries for my old drill, I decided to upgrade. Wow, I'm glad I did! The first time I used it I noticed a huge difference. While reaming out a hole on a steel plate for a piece of heavy equipment it took me for a ride! It was like using my old Milwaukee magnum hole shooter but in a better package (Smaller, lighter. cordless, and 2 speeds). My old drill was adequate for the price, but not in the same league as the Milwaukee. The chuck would have slipped around the 7/16" bit I was using or It would have slowed and stopped. I was so impressed I bought 2 more M18 tools ( The new 3/8" impact and an angle drill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great I got this drill to assemble an ice auger for fishing, mates well to the clam plate and drills holes in 12” plus ice all day on one battery and I don’t have to mess with gas and oil.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Problems once again with the new drill driver I am going to be as honest as I can be, I am going on my 3rd replacement drill and this one so far has been the worst. The clutch(torque) setting on number 2 with the low speed set on #1 is snapping screws behind the hinges when I'm setting doors, clutch does not break free. When I press the trigger to start drilling intermittently the drill does nothing until I release and re- engage the trigger . This is a brand new tool

Rated 1 out of 5 by from chuck broke on first use chuck teeth broke i the first use. Simple repair i a shaft of a pitchfork. i even pre drilled the shank on the fork. As soon as i drove the heavy duty self tapping screw i got from my iron worker buddy the teeth snapped i the chuck! Total disgusted! What a disappointment from what Milwaukee was and is now. Watch out Dewalt will make a come back if you continue to produce tools with sub standard materials.
