Rated 4 out of 5 by from I run milwaukee exclusively I am a contractor in all aspects of building an this is a good solid finish gun no ramp up time no laps in the next shot, it has the advantage over competitors by not leaving a T when setting a nail. The angle is perfect for most tight spaces the weight distribution feels decent when useing it around the job. The down side for me is the overall weight of the unit is a little heavy but manageable. I would definitely buy the next generation of finish gun there stepping up there tool game constantly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It’s fair at best I am a big Milwaukee guy. Love all my tools except this one. The head is to big for nearly anything but baseboard and you are constantly having to go back and drive nails with a hammer. The plus is it’s cordless and the battery last forever. I wish Milwaukee would give this a smaller head like on the air nailer or on the competitors cordless nailers and make it actually sink nails at angles like in a corner. I hope the next gen is better because I was disappointed when my employer brought out his dewalt and it was night and day ( I hate dewalt btw ).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I spend more time going back and setting nails I was super excited to get this finish nailer so I could ditch the air hoses and add to my M18 collection. Will have to say this nailer is a pretty big disappointment. I've tried 1-1/4" nails to 2" nails and get the same inconsistent results on nail head depth. I've got the setting to as deep as it will go, and it struggles to fully set the nails. And these are nails in poplar and pine - should be super easy. I would guess that I have to go back with a nail setter and finish driving in the nails by hand on 25%-50% of the nails. Definitely regret the purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Did Not Live Up to My Expectation I bought this finish nailer to put the finishing touches on a bedroom that I was redoing ceiling to floor. Most reviews I read and videos I watched said that this nailer drove finishing nails into soft and hard woods with out issue or the need to tap off nails that it didn't completely drive. I say between 30 to 35% of the nails I drove need to be set, even though I was driving into standard pine studs. I played with depth setting and still couldn't get the nailer to drive all the nails. In the past I rented a Hitachi pneumatic nailer and never had an issue with under driven nails. I'm a big fan of Milwaukee tools and own more than five M18 tools, but this nailer was a let down. I would not recommend this tool

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad, jams a bit I’ve been using my Milwaukee 16ga gun since 2018. Use it regularly for everything from positioning exterior cladding to fixing interior trim. It’s an ok tool in my experience but only good for basic straight shots, pretty heavy compared to the competition and mine has gradually developed a habit of (regularly) jamming. I’d like to see this fixed in the next model as well as an improvement to the magazine and spring design to make it more user serviceable - I’ve mastered the art of removing the magazine from the gun to free up bad jams but wouldn’t recommend doing that if you’re not good with tool repairs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from disappointed I have only used this nailer for two days and it just doesn't perform well. Plus with the battery pack its way too heavy for my arm. I have to follow all my work with a punch and drive each nail again by hand, even on the deepest setting. I am also finding that with the additional weight of the gun I am damaging the trim way more. Instead, I have been borrowing a friends old pneumatic passlode which is so much lighter and drives nails perfectly. I run Milwaukee tools pretty much exclusively but I really regret buying this one. I would return for a refund except my wife disposed of the box.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn’t sink nails Returned trim gun because it didn’t sink nails. It’s was horrible when trying to toenail. Left nails 1/8 above surface of wood.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Oh man, i was so looking forward to new nailer Big Milwaukee fan. Over the past couple of years I've transitioned away from dewalt, portercable, bosch tools. I have the 15 and 18 gauge nailer, and even though I probably don't need it, there are time when doing cabinets that I need the beef of a nail, but don't want the larger hole caused by a 15 gauge. I just got the 16 gauge angle nailer yesterday, took it to the job, but after about 20 minutes, gave up... About 1 out of 5 nails wouldn't sink. They were either flush or slightly protruding the surface. This wasn't oak, it was PINE over sheetrock/2x4's. Reluctantly, I pulled out the 15 gauge and had no issues. What am I'm missing folks? It's it a bad gun, or are others having the same issue... Given I consider Milwaukee a top tier company, I don't know how this gun made it to production if it is truly this bad at sinking nails.
