Battery Issues!I really liked this saw, having cordless and a brake are two big features that were a nice upgrade when I bought it. However, I only used the saw for about 2 months before I had the problems which it sounds like everyone else is having. Saw killing batteries, stopped on me in the middle of a trim job, had to run and get my old saw. I dropped it off at service center but already looking at other options seeing as others have had it replaced multiple times already. I like the M18 platform, I have plenty of tools and batteries but at the end of the day there is work to get done and I need tools to be reliable. Like most of you, I dont really have the time to be taking a miter saw in every few months. Is there any permanent solution from Milwaukee? Or are they willing to refund or credit towards another tool? I would be interested as I'm scared of relying on this one.

I'm a residential Union carpenterThis saw is the best saw that I've ever had I can take this saw anywhere anytime any place without worrying about chords trip hazards or looking for outlets anything like that I put my battery in and I can just go thank you Milwaukee. you guys should come up with a tile saw that takes battery only that would be very helpful. And a Recyclable water system so the water doesn't get over everything. I would love to start some type of a Co-Op program through our Union where we can use your products give a great review on the products and then you can sell them back to us for a price . That would be a great promotion for both companies.

Great saw but needs better quality controlI own 3 construction companies we own over $150,000 worth of Milwaukee tools almost all the tools are top notch! (We love Milwaukee tools)
Our use for this tool specifically is used to do trim work and job site framing lumber cutting typically we use this kind of tool 1 - 2 days per week.
We own 2 of these saws one less than 1 year old the other less than 2 years old. We have had both saws break and be sent back in for repairs 2 times each.... When the tool is in use it is flawless. (We would continue buying these but the repairs are extremely costly with down time) Milwaukee and our local supplier have been great to deal with. But there must be some quality control things to address considering most of the other tools we have, don't have a high failure rate as this item. (the m18 air compressor also has had issues we own 5 of them they break very often)
things that have broken
1-motor goes up in smoke (2 Times)
2-Switch failure (2 times)
3-Switch intermittent failure depending on what angle the saw is tipped at 1=(1 time)

Needs a laser guide!Nice unit overall. Not having to run a chord is a bonus. Big time bummer without a laser guide! A Huge drawback and would expect more from the beloved Milwaukee brand. A step backwards from my chorded laser unit.
