The Metabo HPT MultiVolt rotary hammer features 260 - 590 RPM and 1420 - 2,860 BPM(Beats per Minute) with 7.7 ft-lbs of impact energy. Also, featuring reactive force control to stop rotation to ensure user safety along with a low vibration handle. MultiVolt is the first cordless-corded solution that meets the power output demand on a jobsite. MultiVolt offers the power of a corded tool, the freedom of a cordless platform and the choice to operate all MultiVolt tools with a battery or plug into an outlet. Metabo HPT batteries use 21700 cells, delivering 1,440+watts of power, similar to 120V-15amp corded power tools. This allows for greater power and approximately 46% more capacity. The battery delivers 4 Ah of runtime in the Metabo HPT 36 V platform and 8 Ah of runtime in the Hitachi-Metabo HPT 18V platform. Cordless or corded-you decide.

Boulder Buster
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this this summer to try and find a better answer for drilling through boulders in order to run plumbing through them for water features. I had a different rotary hammer that would take hours to get through boulders, but i was able to get through the same size boulders in 15 minutes with this Metabo!

I work with 45 guys and our employer is upgrading all of his properties. We have been using this with the AC adapter to bust thru concrete slabs to add plumbing for showers.
They love it.
Almost 99% of our guys use the yellow brand and when they see all my Metabo tools and I tell them how much I paid for them, their eyes glaze over.
They realize the bought the wrong brand.

Competent game changer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been working on my stone basement for about 3 or 4 years by hand with a 4 lb hammer and chisel . Finishing the outside of the basement digging down , pointing , mortaring and am now on the inside about 1/4 done . I finally decided to buy a demo hammer and found the Metabo 36 volt rotary hammer . I did not need a cordless or a rotary drill but for the price , which I thought was reasonable it included both . Not wanting to mortar in the basement through winter I have only taken the time to test the unit out which only took 20 minutes to chip out a 3’ x 3’ piece of the wall and boy was I impressed . Mind you , I have not used a lot of demo hammers with the exception of a well known large unit to break up a 12 x 22 garage pad . It took me all day . I have many power hand tools by other manufacturers but this is my first Metabo power tool . I find I will have to get used to the weight of this hammer drill but the power , quality and the ease of use has made me happy with my purchase of this unit . I feel it will give me many years of use .

Go Green or Go Home!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tool is by far the best on the market, the versatility to use AC and DC in itself eclipses other competitors by far. Whether on a remote site or looking to put in hours of hard demo, this tool will exceed expectation. The variable speed modes, bit rotation ability (to tackle any angle of work), hammer, and hammer drilling options makes this demo- hammer drill an essential tool in any commercial or residential builder’s inventory.

Good little rotary hammer
Had to drill 200 holes 5/8 10’’ deep in poured block . It finished this project fine . Battery would last about 20 holes .

Great for small jobs.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome rotary hammer. Enough power just like corded. Love using it for drilling holes and light chipping. I think because I used the alternate power plug I burnt it out. But Metabo is great with warranty. Two weeks later after sending it in I got a grande new one. I learned my lesson so just use it for three batteries max. Anything more I need to use a corded version. I love this rotary tool because of the freedom from using extension cords.

Warranty meh..
Seems like a nice tool for the price. Not quite as powerfall as some other tools that are much more expensive but 90% there. Much less warranty on the tool body than competing rotary hammers which makes me question the quality of the product.
