Makita delivers precise and more accurate cutting with the XPS02ZU Cordless 6-1/2 in. Plunge Circular Saw. Add on the optional rail guide system (sold separately) for the most accurate cuts and minimal tear-out. The powerful Makita brushless motor features Automatic Speed Change technology that adjusts cutting speed and torque for optimum performance. This saw delivers speeds from 2,500-6,300 RPM with the variable speed control dial and includes soft start and an electric brake for added convenience. It features a large cutting capacity of 2-3/16 in. at 90 degrees, a bevel capacity of -1 to 48 degrees, and positive stops at 22.5 and 45 degrees. Ideal for a workshop or job site, this plunge circular saw serves as a more portable option than a table saw for certain applications when used with a rail system (sold separately). The Makita XPS02ZU plunge circular saw is equipped with Auto-Start Wireless System for Bluetooth wireless power-on/off communication with the AWS-equipped dust extractor. This intelligent communication technology eliminates cords and reduces noise.

The XPS02ZU features Makita Extreme Protection Technology for your circular saw. Engineered for improved operation in harsh conditions, a protective seal is added inside the tool to repel water and dust away from key internal components. The 18V Lithium-Ion system is the world's largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls. The charger communicates with the battery's built-in chip to optimize battery life, controlling current, voltage, and temperature. A built-in fan circulates air through the battery during the charging process to cool the battery for faster charge time.
