12-130 used for plunge boring
I plunge bore 1.9” deep holes in rotating hardwood so sharp tips are important. Side cutting is not a requirement for my application. Actually, except for 1/4” at the tip, I grind the sharp sides away to eliminate side chatter as I plunge bore.
