Rated 4 out of 5 by from My 1st Router Table I bought this 8 weeks ago. I was converting kitchen shelves to pull-out draws for my wife. Once I understood how everything worked and the sequence of performing the various required routing it really became easy. It was very easy / simple / quick to change out the bits and to adjust the fence and the depth of cut. The only suggestion I have would be to relocate where you plug in the router and the vacuum. I would have to switch the vacuum between the various pieces of equipment I was using and I would have to reach in from the back to plug in to outlet located in the front. Other then that everything seems to be working fine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Table top is warped ! I just got this router table and and have installed the Bosch MRC23EVSK Router onto the insert plate. When I installed the insert plate and started leveling it became clear that the whole table top was clearly warped across the whole length of the table, such that its highest point is in the middle. This means anything moving across the table will go "up hill" until reaching the router bit and then "pivot" across the top going back "down hill" to the end of the table. If I put a straight edge across the length of the table, and push it down onto the surface at one end of the table, there will be a 2-3 mm gap on the other side of the table. That can't be right ?!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This table along with the 1617EVSPK Router Combo replaced an old Craftsman fixed base router and a table that I had made. The ease of use and precision I can achieve are head and shoulders better than what I used to have. At some point I will be buying the RA1165 base to leave permanently mounted to the table, freeing up my fixed base. I would buy this again or recommend it to a friend in a heart beat. I find that I use the jointing feature a lot. It works great jointing small stuff and does a passable job with larger stuff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fence problem Don't get me wrong, I love my new Bosch 1181. It works great, and does all that it is suppose to do. I had a problem when attempting to route the end of my rails for cabinet doors. Each time I passed the cutter blade, the piece got stuck on the left hand wooden insert on the fence. I tried all kinds of adjustments, even inserted a thin washer behind the left hand fence board to try to compensate for the left side. I even made a 1/4 inch over lay and attached that on top of the existing inserts. Nothing worked. I then carefully measured to thickness of the two boards and found that the left board was a bit thinker than the right one. I placed it on my belt sander and carefully, checking frequently, I got it so the piece passes smoothly. Its all good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Router Table I have owned the table for about 8 months now and am happy with its basic features.  I would however like to add some heavier feather boards to the fence, but Bosch apparently does not provide them and I would have to replace the fence to accommodate them.  Also bought some feather boards from Rockler for the table, it appears the holes don't line up and it is difficult to get them securely attached, not sure if is the Rockler product or the spacing of the holes on the table.  In spite of those few complaints, I have gotten great results from the work I have done on the table.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than most! For the price it certainly has a lot of features and durability. Lets start with the strengths: -Table size is nice and large. -Jointing function works well. -Fence is solid. -Dust extraction is very decent. -Plug in for shop vac on table -Feather boards and guard is nice. (Do not have to unscrew guard all the way to release) Weaknesses: -Plastic inserts will break over time when swapping out. -Getting the base plate level with the table takes a long time -Have heard that some tables come warped (mine was fine). -Must remove router to switch out bits. (this is common with all but the more expensive tables and/or lifts) -No quick removal of fence. Have to unscrew all the way :( -The riser/pads that sit between the guards and fence on the screw or between the feather boards and screw always cause a balancing act so they line up right and don't fall out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Router table top I had a craftsmen router table I upgraded to a Bosch professional router table the table top is so solid and wide making it easy to run long trim through. The fence is easily adjustable and is easy to make perfectly straight since it's all one piece unlike some. Plus it comes with 2 feather boards with indentations on the fence and on the table so you can easily mount them without even using clamp. Plus it has a cubbie hole on the side making a nice place to keep wrenches bits, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from STANDS UP TO MY DAILY USE I bought my RA1181 more than a year ago. My intention was to build a router table but at the price of the RA1181 building became a non issue. I use this table every day and have yet to find any short comings. The router table is bolted to a workstation which includes my table saw, drill press and chop saw, all in a row, sharing the same extra long level "bench top" (10'). Set up was a snap. I've used the Bosch RA1181 with three different routers (all existing - Craftsman, Skil [mu favorite but only 1/4"] and a 28 year old Craftsman). The newer routers set up quite easily. The old Craftsman required a little imagination to make height adjustment adequate. I really feel like the RA1181 was one of the three best additions to my workshop ever - after my table saw and table saw miter gauge.
